The Chelfing skill is interesting. Here are some of the key features.
There are tons of recipes and you can add your own.
You can put in what is in your pantry.
You can then add the recipe to your grocery list and it will look at what is in your pantry, and only add the missing items to your shopping list
Great idea, and if you're interested in Food Inventory Control, or if you use Recipes, this may be something you want to check out.
Currently it's free.
You can do things such as:
Alexa, ask My Chef to add the expired items to my shopping list
Alexa, ask My Chef what's expiring
Alexa, open My Chef
What I Think Chefling is Missing
If you add something and it doesn't recognize it, it lists it as “other” so Frozen Peas were “other”
I'd like some more categories such as “Frozen” and “Canned Goods”
You currently can't change categories (but that is coming)
You can't put quantities. Such as three cans of sweet corn. That seems pretty basic.
There isn't much documentation so you end up guessing on items. Such as this green band
I like where they are going, but right now it seems half-baked.
